The outside was covered in buttercream and then we applied colored fondant. The Mario himself was made out of molded rice krispy treats, with the brim of his cap and the fire flower made out of gum paste.<\/p>\n<p>Credit for the photos go to <a href=\"http:\/\/averytingwong.smugmug.com\/\">Avery Wong Photography<\/a>.
